Why Purple?
In military tradition, purple represents the unity of all service branches — a blend of Air Force blue, Army green, Navy blue, Marine red, and Coast Guard blue. It’s also the color of the Purple Heart medal, awarded to those who have been wounded or made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
